Raising funds for DS43

Trainee Licenced Conveyancer, Gabrielle Eglintine will be running this year’s Great North Run in aid of the DS43 charity. DS43 raise funds to purchase defibrillators and deliver CPR training with the aim to ensure that every household in Hartlepool is within 500m of a public access defibrillator. TMJ Legal Services also became a patron of the charity in 2022.

Along with her partner, Gabrielle is running the Great North Run in memory of her partner’s former cricket teammate and friend, Danny Shurmer. Danny sadly passed away on the 17th June 2021 after suffering a cardiac arrest in his home, aged only 43.

Danny's parents, Bill and Pam set up the charity to install defibrillators across the community to ensure every home has access 24/7 to a defibrillator within 500 meters.

Gabrielle said:

“It costs £1,100 for just one defibrillator. We will be running the Great North Run in Danny’s memory and to help raise funds for this fantastic charity. Any donation may it be large or small would be much appreciated.”
